After the events of this year it was with some trepidation that I put the family home of 26 years on the market. The trepidation grew rapidly after two encounters with agents who would only consider "their" three ways to sell a property - auction, auction and auction!
What a relief when you came in - quietly confident, prepared to listen and not talk down to me, and with a plan for selling that did not disrupt two teenagers immersed in University and year 12 exams.
It was a very stress free time with you and your team filtering out and establishing the genuine prospective buyers. And when I talked to friends who have "downsized" over the past two-three years, they all wished that they had gone for a private sale. Twice in the early stages I thought, "Nothing is happening. What's wrong?" and both times you phoned, or called in to say over a cup of tea, "Well, we've done this and this; and that and that is happening" - thus allaying my fears and restoring confidence. Messages from the office were always a delight - friendly, promptly relayed, and considerate.
It has been a pleasure to do business with you Arthur, and especially to achieve a price above any of the other predictions. I thank you for your guidance, patience. sense of humour and for the team with their attention to detail. Neil Jenman says. "You'll know when you've met the right agent for you.
